Pumpkin Festival Competition
Date: October 3 & 4, 2009
These two days are the tentative due days for accepting pumpkins for the Pumpkin Competition sponsored by the Q-125 Committee and Pac N Save Supermarket. Three prizes, first, second, and third will be awarded in four competitive categories. The categories are largest pumpkin, smallest pumpkin, most unusual pumpkin, and pumpkin closest to 125 pounds (either above or under). The competition is open to people of all ages and people may buy their own seeds and plant them, but please understand that elementary students will be having Extension Service visits and demonstrations on pumpkin growing and these students will be receiving free pumpkin seeds from the Extension Service. The winning pumpkins will be on display at Pac N Save and will spend one afternoon on display at a special Harvest Dance to be held on Sunday, October 11th at the City Auditorium.
